Migrant Farmworkers
Many years ago, I had the opportunity to work with migrant farm workers in Florida, Alabama, and Texas, helping set up daycare centers near the fields where their parents worked. Back then, I was so moved by the humility and the poverty of this disenfranchised group, and today, not much has changed. They still are the forgotten people and yet maintain their humility and hard work. I’m only too happy to work with them again by supporting the outstanding efforts of the Harvest of Hope Foundation.
